Mercy Mission launches National JGDI campaign

01.01.10

Mercy Mission UK is pleased to announce the launch of ‘Just Go Do It’ – a groundbreaking media campaign designed to invite non-practising Muslims back to the second pillar of Islam – the prayer.  The campaign is driven by reminding Muslims of the importance of this great act of worship based upon the honest words of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) who said:

“Between a person and disbelief is discarding prayer" [Muslim]

The campaign represents Mercy Mission’s first project of 2010 and will reach across various media including:

-    London Underground
-    Asiana Magazine
-    B4U Music Channel
-    Various Asian Newspapers
-    Various Matrimonial Websites

In addition to this, 30,000 leaflets calling people to the campaign will be distributed across the UK, with the help of AlKauthar students who attended the sell out course ‘Coolness of the Eyes’ in London.

Azim Kidwai, General Manager at Mercy Mission is hopeful that the campaign will have far reaching consequences. “Via this high profile media initiative, we are seeking to encourage the aforementioned Muslims to ‘Just Go Do It’ and return to Islam, through making the first step to Ar Rahman. We aim to reach, at the very least 100,000 non-practising Muslims insha’Allah – and there is an opportunity for every single person who is touched by this campaign to get involved and earn the exponential rewards on offer”.

Mercy Mission is recruiting a number of roles (see below) in order to support effective delivery of the campaign. Please get in touch with us at info@mercymission.org.uk if you are interested in applying for any of these roles or wish to help out in any other way. Furthermore if you have any ideas of how we can encourage people to ‘just go do it’, please get in touch and we will be sure to give your suggestion due time and consideration insha’Allah.

We sincerely ask for you to make du’a to the Almighty that He return the Muslims to Islam through establishment of the prayer and remind you with His words:

“Invite (all) to the Way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious.” (Surah An-Nahl: 125)
